Ayurvedic Therapeutic Uses

Ayurveda is one of India’s oldest and traditional systems of medicines that have survived in Indian medical sciences from times immemorial. It is derived from the ancient Sanskrit roots – “ayus” meaning life and “ved” meaning knowledge. Originating from the last 5000 years, the recommendations are different for people with different lifestyle.

Therapeutic uses of ayurveda can cure chronic diseases like respiration problems, circulation disorders, and indigestion and elimination problems. Along with these physical problems, ayurveda also looks after the mental and spiritual well being of all humans. Using the elements of ether, air, fire, water and earth, the therapeutic uses of Ayurveda makes you feel refreshed and rejuvenated to live life anew.

Types of Ayurvedic therapeutic uses

Ayurveda always uses honey, medicinal plants, arthro and neem to cure people.

Following are the therapeutic uses of Ayurvedic elements:

  • Honey – Honey contains proteins, fats, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, fructose, glucose, lactose, volatile aromatic substances, ashes and water. Honey gets absorbed in our digestive system and gets instantly converted into energizer. It also acts as a sedative and speeds up healing, and cures bed wetting disorders and heals dried tissues. It is a good anti-oxidant that restores damaged skin and strengthens white blood corpuscles to fight bacteria and viral diseases. Honey is very good for eyesight, quenches thirst, reduces effects of poison, heals wounds and initiates growth of healthy granulation tissues.
  • Neem – the therapeutic uses of Ayurveda in neem are enormous. Neem restores digestive disorders comprising mouth, duodenum, liver, pancreas, small intestines and gall bladder problems. It treats diarrhea, dysentery, constipation, hyperacidity, nose/pharynx/lungs disorders and several types of urinary disorders like albuminuria, phophaturia and burning micturition. It treats skin diseases, leucoderma, diabetes, fungi infections, viral; diseases, Chagas diseases, malaria and dental problems.
  • Medicinal plants – Ayurveda makes use of herbs and other medicinal plants that help in curing of deep wounds, increases body weight and acts as a mild laxative. It also reduces effects of poison, stops hiccups, strengthens eyesights and is very useful for urinary tract disorders, worm infestations, coughs, diarrhea and nausea, vomiting and bronchial asthma.
  • Arthro – it is a powerful combination of herbs formulated to remove toxins around joints and support healthy and comfortable movements. It is specially used for dry and painful joints, nourishes bone sand muscles and heals cracking and popping joints, tics, spasms and tremors. It also heals fibromyalgia, gout pains, inflammations, numbness, rheumatism, neuralgia, sciatica and stiffness of joints.

The therapeutic uses of ayurveda include antispasmodic, astringent, anti-inflammatory, carminative, rejuvenate and stimulant uses
